When Neighbors Show Up: Bridge Breast Network Brings Its 2026 Gala Kickoff to Fairview
What does it mean to Love Your Neighbor?
Sometimes it means checking in on the person next door. Sometimes it means supporting a local business. And sometimes it means coming together to make sure someone in our community can get potentially life-saving medical care when they need it most.
On Sunday, September 27, 2026, Fairview will have an opportunity to do exactly that.
The Bridge Breast Network is bringing its 2026 Gala Kickoff Party to Fairview's Profound Foods, inviting our community to spend an afternoon together while supporting an organization that has helped North Texans overcome financial barriers to breast health care for 34 years.
For us at Getting Neighborly, that's a story worth sharing.

What Is the Bridge Breast Network?
The Bridge Breast Network helps low-income, uninsured, and underinsured individuals access breast health and breast cancer services throughout North Texas.
Its work includes breast health education, early detection and screenings, diagnostic services, treatment, patient navigation, and survivorship support.
And the word network matters.
Bridge Breast Network works across 28 North Texas counties with a network of approximately 300 medical providers and 200 community partners, including physicians, hospitals, imaging centers, treatment facilities, and community organizations.
Those relationships help connect patients with the care they need while making contributed dollars go further.
According to Bridge Breast Network, about 96% of its funding goes to patient care. Through donated and significantly reduced-cost medical services, each $1 contributed can leverage up to $10 in medical services.
That's the power of people and organizations working together.
Is Bridge Breast Network Helping People in Collin County?
Yes—and this is where the story becomes especially relevant to Fairview.
During the past 12 months, Bridge Breast Network reports serving Collin County residents through:
- 91 individuals receiving early detection services
- 49 community referrals helping individuals establish a medical home
- 27 individuals receiving treatment and survivorship services
Those numbers matter.
But behind every number is a neighbor.
It's a woman who needs answers after a screening.
It's an individual who needs treatment but doesn't know how to afford it.
It's a family trying to navigate a frightening diagnosis.
It's a survivor who still needs support after treatment.
That's why bringing the Bridge Breast Network story to Fairview matters.

Fairview Is Where the Conversation Begins
On September 27, the organization will host its 2026 Gala Kickoff Party at Profound Foods, 163 Fountain Court, in Fairview.
The afternoon will include chef stations, beverages, music, silent auction items, and raffle opportunities. More importantly, it allows Fairview residents and businesses to meet the people behind the mission and learn how they can become part of it.
Guests are encouraged to wear their favorite football jersey, making this less of a formal fundraiser and more of an afternoon for people to gather, have fun, and rally around a shared purpose.

The Road From Fairview to Denim & Diamonds
On Saturday, November 7, Bridge Breast Network will host its signature annual fundraiser, A Night to Remember: Denim & Diamonds, at Vouv Meeting & Event Space in Dallas.
The organization has established a $300,000 fundraising goal for 2026 through the gala and related fundraising efforts.
Those dollars will help Bridge Breast Network continue saying one very important word to people facing barriers to breast cancer care:
Yes.
Yes, let's help you get screened.
Yes, let's help you find diagnostic care.
Yes, let's help you navigate treatment.
Yes, let's help connect you with support.
For someone worried about how they will afford care, that "yes" can mean everything.
What Kind of Community Do You Want to Call Home?
Getting Neighborly is about discovering the people, businesses, and organizations that make a community worth calling home.
That's why we're excited to see Bridge Breast Network coming to Fairview.
A community isn't defined only by its houses, roads, restaurants,s or businesses.
It's also defined by what happens when people need one another.
Do we notice?
Do we get involved?
Do we make an introduction?
Do we buy the ticket?
Do we share the story?
Do we show up?
Those little decisions are how neighbors become a community.
And they're part of what makes living and working in Fairview special.
Love Your Neighbor
Love Your Neighbor is easy to say.
The more interesting question is what happens when we turn those words into action.
On September 27, Fairview has another opportunity to do that.
Attend the kickoff. Meet the people behind Bridge Breast Network. Learn about the neighbors they're already helping throughout Collin County. Invite someone to join you. Share their mission with a business that might become a sponsor. Donate an auction item. Or help someone else discover an organization they may need one day.
Because you never know which neighbor will need the bridge.
