Fairview Crossing Opens: A New Chapter in Connectivity and Commerce

Fairview, TX | May 22, 2025 — After years of planning and collaboration, the Town of Fairview officially opened Fairview Crossing, a vital new east-west connector that enhances mobility and unlocks new economic potential for the region. The roadway—stretching from Country Club Road to Spur 399—is now open to traffic, improving direct access to Medical Center Drive, State Highway 5, and the Sam Rayburn Tollway.
This project, which received funding from the U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA), Collin County, and the Town of Fairview, represents a landmark infrastructure investment in North Texas. It's a significant step forward in traffic flow and long-term development strategy.
A Partnership-Funded Pathway to Growth
Fairview Crossing was made possible through a combination of federal, county, and local resources, demonstrating what's achievable when all levels of government align around a shared vision for connectivity, safety, and smart growth.
"This project isn't just about pavement and access points—it's about our town's future," said Super Dave Quinn, CEcD, host of the Getting Neighborly podcast. "By investing in smart infrastructure, Fairview continues positioning itself as a premier destination for business and quality of life."
A Symbolic First Drive
In a fitting tribute to Fairview's legacy of leadership, Nancy Lessner, wife of the former mayor Henry Lessner, was honored as the first driver to travel the newly opened Fairview Crossing. Her inaugural drive paid tribute to a family deeply involved in shaping Fairview's growth and community identity.
